I'm watching the Maersk Alabama putting into port in Kenya, and I'm wondering how long it'll be until we get a movie, either TV or otherwise, about how the crew retook the ship.
I guess it'll have a lot to do with the outcome of the captain being held hostage :(
I'm also sitting here wondering why the hell aren't these crews going through high-risk areas armed???
What do you think about the whole ransom situation?

And I adamantly agree with
Of course I'm the type who'd just look around, realize that there's actually 25 or so members of the crew (if that was anywhere close to the number) versus their 4, and just bombard them all anyway.

It's insane, though, considering how much piracy has gone up in the last few years. And now that the US has shown there are no real consequences for attacking our flagged ships (WTF is the FBI doing out there?) I think every American who goes out there should make sure he or she is armed.
