Deathly Hallows Part 2, Part 2
Jul. 18th, 2011 10:41 pmSo I went and saw DH2 again today. I watched DH1 this afternoon and basically got right in the car, drove to the theater, and used my free pass :) There were fewer people there than when I went with Shelby Saturday morning, but I think overall this audience was younger and more vocal. And I don't mind a vocal theater audience as long as they're vocal appropriately. This group applauded when anything good happened, especially ( I know a spoiler warning about a movie based on a book that's been out for years is stupid, but... ).
I think this was also a group of mainly non-book readers, because ( See above ) I'm kind of jealous of that group, well, for the same reason I'm kind of jealous of the people who watched Game of Thrones before reading it and didn't know exactly what was coming by the end of the season.

Jul. 17th, 2011 10:41 pmSo, to follow up from my previous post, I did finally get to see Deathly Hallows Part 2 yesterday morning. I actually intend to see it again, tomorrow or Tuesday, and ideally I'd like to watch Part 1 right before. I think where they decided to cut it works well for the story... ( Read more... ) I'll hopefully have more cogent thoughts to share after the second viewing :)
So Shelby and I were supposed to go see Deathly Hallows Pt 2 at midnight... but my teeth were in screaming pain because I had them whitened this morning (I was expecting sensitivity, but nothing this bad); the doctor prescribed me some vicodin but it makes me loopy. And then Shelby somehow got a bad case of eyestrain. Ain't we a pair? So I have to eat the tickets I had prepaid for, which sucks, and we're going to plan on Saturday a.m. instead.

Jul. 9th, 2011 03:59 pm- First, the big news: I got my rehire letter! Pending the state of California falling into the Pacific Ocean, have a job next year! This also means I can make some extra money by going to a 5-day training in early August, which will be great :)
- I had a bad dream last night... I won't go into details. But the weird thing is that the first part I remembered when I woke up is that in this dream people had flying cars. I'm thinking too much Harry Potter.
- Along those same lines, I've watched the first four Harry Potter movies over the past week or so, to prepare my brain for DH pt 2 on the morning of the 15th. I was originally going to reread all the books, but some are packed away with my school things. Besides, I've come to the decision that the movies are more enjoyable if I remember fewer particulars about the books. So I'm living in movieverse for the next few days and that's that.
( I really do enjoy these movies, but... )
Also, seeing as how I just watched GoF... Hee.
