... so, now pretty much nothing changes because there's still a crapload of story to go.
BUT. I WON.
Also I ordered a NaNo shirt for myself. Not a winner shirt because I wasn't crazy about the logo plus it's black and black shirts + cat hair = angry Alli. But I got myself a 2012 shirt which is blue and pretty and I shall wear it and... well that's pretty much it, wear it; I mean, what else am I supposed to do with a shirt?

Me: Okay, there are two directions I could go with this scene: Sweet and Sad or Hot and Vaguely Disturbing.

I know the last thing I should be complaining about during NaNo is word count, but cripes, this scene is getting ridiculous. It's on its way of making up about a third of what I've written so far, and I've always kind of felt that a scene should be no more than 2,000 words or so, to keep things moving.
3,200+ words on this one, and I still have a page of handwritten dialog and oodles of angst to get through.
Oh well. I guess I can always cut it down in December.

In other news, 3 days, 8 hours, 36 minutes and 8 seconds until I leave for LA! ( Hee. )

In other news, I need to take a break from writing because (1)
sugar_fey just broke my brain by making it think of shirtless sweaty Clint with a firestaff and (2) the scene I'm writing is starting to give me feels.( This kind of feels. )

This might not happen again in your lifetime. But it's happening right now. Again. Don't take it for granted. Between the perfect game, the impending MVP, the Dodgers/Giants rivalry coming out the right way, the comebacks in the division series and championship series, and the World Series, this has a great, great chance of being the best season of baseball you'll ever watch.
