1. Every year since I've started tracking my reading habits, I've read more than the year before. Now, 2009's numbers were probably a little inflated because of the whole 'no job for almost 5 months' thing, but still. I've calculated that in order to beat my record in '09 - 77 novels or otherwise longish books - I'll need to read 6.5 books a month. Let's just round that up to 7.
I just started book number 15 of 2010, and it's halfway through March! I'm off my pace! Oh noes!
2. Saw Alice in Wonderland this weekend. It was actually not as weird as I had prepared myself for it to be. Since I can't particularly say I'm a huge Tim Burton fan, I'll let you decide if that's a good thing or not. I didn't go to the 3D showing (although now that I think of it, if I had there might have been less annoying children in the theater...) so I can't comment on that. But it was a good movie. Right now I'd consider it a Will Definitely Rent on DVD and Maybe Buy Depending on the Extras. Also, I'm a little bit totally into Alice/Hatter, which sounds pervy, but since Alice is grown up it's not pervy, it's just, well, mad :D
3. I've been collecting my little scraps of different stories from their little notebook and file hidey-holes. When I have an idea, some kind of detail or plot twist for a story, I'm actually very good about writing or typing it down. But then I forget where I put it. I have 4 different plot bunnies tunneling around in my brain right now, although the one that's the most active, annoyingly enough, is the one who has a quite nice cast of characters and a growing setting/milieu, and NO PLOT. I'm serious. I know I need to get these 5 people together somehow, and I know where they'll be, but I have no idea what brings them together or what they're going to do afterward. It's kind of pissing me off.
4. I want my hour back! $%^&*%$!
