I see that they're remaking Red Dawn (the guy who plays Kirk's dad in Star Trek apparently has the lead role).

I wonder how they're going to mess this one up. Obviously it won't be the US vs the Soviets. Maybe it'll be about the US invading some other country and the courageous teenage freedom fighters there? Wow, what a notion; I wonder why al-Qeada hasn't jumped all over that one.

I'm sure they will do something stupid to ruin it. My favorite movie of
all time The Day the Earth Stood Still was remade last year. I did not
go see the remake because i read they changed the main plot of the movie to some
environmentalist idiocy. How disgusting.
