Well, Rodney has a crush on Sam - that's canon. And Sam wouldn't touch him with a ten-foot-pole - that's pretty much canon, too. :)

I never said anything about canon, I just said it was my idea. (Plus, you know, watch a lot of people scream.)

Atlantis has reasonably flexible shipping for me: a couple OTPs and some 'ooh, cool!' pairings that are definitely left-field.

It's all fun and games until people start writing hate-letter-campaigns... :D

Well I was trying to be funny too - though perhaps not so successfully.

You're right that Atlantis has been fairly flexible on shipping. There have been suggestions of several pairings, but nothing so explicit as "that's my sidearm, I swear" - or whatever it is that passes for canon 'ship in the SG universe. (Which I have to say looks like absolutely nothing is happening between just about anyone as compared to the Farscape or BSG universes.)

But anyway, I'm sure it makes people scream. ;)

And yes, it is all fun and games until people start forgetting it's a Television Show For Crying Out Loud! :)
