There's one song I immediately thought of when Hastings and Weiss wanted to blame Renee for everything - the "Cell Block Tango" from Chicago. For example, one of the women explains: "And then he ran into my knife. He ran into my knife ten times." Followed by the chorus "He had it coming" and "I didn't do it! But if I'd done it - how could you tell me that I was wrong?" :D Okay, maybe Alex gansa watched Chicago before he wrote 8x09.
