I was reading about this today. I keep thinking I'm in some sort of weird dream -- that this couldn't possibly be reality. I understand the Administration wanting to be aware of what the opposition is saying; they'll want to counter it as best they can, despite the fact that Hopey-One was "very clear" on the record when he stated he was a proponent of a single-payer system. But there's a line between being informed and being...well, creepy. Reporting e-mails? Casual conversation? Are we now entering an age where we're not allowed to question our leadership?
I'd send them a copy of their own bill as something "fishy" about health insurance reform... if I wasn't, you know, already flagged, being a conservative and former vet. I might represent a national security risk, according to some GS-9 at DHS.
What a Charlie Foxtrot.
Isn't it time for the midterm elections yet? Maybe we should have a countdown timer...kinda like the Lefties did for the countdown to Bush's last day in office. The GOP may not pick up much, but I doubt it's going to be a very good election cycle for the incumbents.
