I cannot explain the Rambaldi stuff to you either, nor can I explain how it got so far flung over the world. People from Italy didn't sprite over to Mongolia all that often, in the Renaissance, yo. Here is one for you...the medvac had been called. Jack blew himself up underground. The medvac would have arrived and they would have looked for Jack. Sydney would have come back and looked for Jack. Bottem line...they'd have found Sloane and either had to unbury him or make the decision to leave him. Doncha think?
