Books read so far this year:
1. Daughter of the Blood by Anne Bishop
2. Stargate Atlantis: Rising by Sally Malcolm
3. Heir to the Shadows by Anne Bishop
4. Queen of the Darkness by Anne Bishop
5. Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Maguire
6. Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire
And in progress:
- The Curse of Chalion by Lois McMaster Bujold
- Paladin of Souls by Lois McMaster Bujold (for school*)
- Fires in the Bathroom by Kathleen Cushman (for class**)
* My cooperating teacher suggested having a book to read during silent reading (to model during that time that Reading Is Cool Cause Teachers Do It Too! Yeah, might as well use that while it still works ;)) Leaving it at school so I won't forget to tote it back and forth, and because I've already read it before so there's no rush.
** Required reading. I guess I should actually resume reading it.
Also, is Jack Bauer like the coolest thing ever or what? Hee! You know Derek and ma are going to go back home and find like a whole jarfull of terrorist eyeballs that Jack left behind, like mementos. And the kid will go, "ma, I want to be just like Jack when I grow up". And there's your spinoff! Tada! FOX, I'll be waiting for the check made out to me.
