Nov. 2nd, 2008 02:06 pmSo, I was up late again last night, but not because I was working on NaNo. No, from about 11pm to 3am (before the time switch) I was at the ER. See, I've been having this weird intermittent, for-no-good-reason wheezing for the last month or so. Usually it goes away on its own after an hour or two, or else I break out the humidifier, but last night none of that was working. The wheezing started around 9pm and kept getting worse.
Now, of course, it took so long to be seen in the ER that I was feeling much better before they ever did anything. But they took a chest x-ray to make sure it wasn't pneumonia (I could have told them that) and gave me an albuterol inhaler to use as needed. They also discovered that I hadn't had a tetanus shot in a long time (I'm not sure if this was relevant to the wheezing or if they just enjoy giving tetanus shots), so now my left shoulder is sore on top of everything else.
Oh yeah, and to add insult to injury, the book I picked up at the library because it sounded interesting has ended up being the 2nd in a trilogy.
