26. Wild Seed by Octavia Butler [x]
27. Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card [x]
28. Old Man's War John Scalzi [x]
29. Ilium by Dan Simmons
30. Kushiel's Justice by Jacqueline Carey
31. Kushiel's Mercy by Jacqueline Carey [x]
Man. I feel like I've been on a reading marathon.
No spoilers for Kushiel's Mercy, but it's definitely my favorite of the Imriel trilogy. Of the entire series, no -- I still think the first three are the most powerful. I did tear up a few times, though, reading Mercy -- once during a really angsty-emotional quasi-father son moment (the relationship between Imri and Joscelin? So. Awesome.) and once at the very end. Wah.
I will miss these characters. But I can't wait to see where Carey goes next.
I think I'm going to read Koontzs' new one next, although I sort of feel like I need a brain-break. Maybe I can dig up some of my YA stuff...
