As I was telling people last night, IMO, the best way to watch the Emmys (or any other self-congratulatory crapfests like them) is to not watch them, and then the next day find out who had meltdowns and watch those few minutes on YouTube.

My little birdies have so far only shared with me one amusingly stupid* moment, which was Sally Field reprising her role from ER:

* Rather than boringly stupid, which makes up the majority of this drivel

So here's my "improvement over a typical Monday" story.

I used to work at Kohl's when I was finishing up my credential. Worked there for about a year and a half starting before the store even opened. Now of course there's almost no one there who I worked with. Such is the turn over in retail. Anyway, a Kohl's in some other part of the country got sued by an employee saying that they violated some law or another by not giving him his breaks. Which is kind of amusing because the management at my store was almost militant about making sure that I got my breaks.

Well, to make a long story short, I threw my hat into the class-action, and Kohl's settled, and I got my part of the settlement (in the form of gift cards, natch) today...

$115!
