Okay -- a 8MB tablet, new, or a 16MB tablet, refurbished? Basically they're the same otherwise. Same price and everything. Thoughts?

What is the warranty like? If it is the same or close, take the refurbished.

Well they're both through BB, so I would imagine the warranty is the same, whatever I decide to get.
