They thought...

They thought that attacking the United States on 9/11 would plunge the country into despair and fear, would keep us out of the middle east and out of their jihad against the Western world.

They were wrong.

They thought that attacking Spain on 3/11 would change that country's policy and, ultimately, their presence in Iraq.

They were right.

They thought that attacking England on 7/7 would cow the Brits into pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan. They thought it would serve as a warning to Italy and Denmark to do the same.

Time will tell.

tut.tut. Alli live is not that simple and they were not right, not fully. The fact is that the Spanish population didn't want the war and the reason why the other party won? It wasn't directly because of the attack it was because the ones on the power lied directly and denied the truth being said by the specialists. They claimed and claimed and pulled by the teeth that the ones behind had been ETA, when police specialists and any other type of specialist that had a say in the matter said that it was not ETA's work, not their modus operadum neither their objective. The fact that they lied completely without saying that there might be a possibility that it had been Al-Qaeda and not ETA, when in fact there were no possibility for ETA to do that so it was quite stupid of them to say because the truth was going to show up earlier or later...it showed up earlier than the election and people showed by their votes that they didn't want people that lied in power. I so don't see how Al-Qaeda won, we just don't want people like that in the power, if anyone else does? well go ahead and have fun in your created world of evil vs goodness and later explain us how was the trip by fantasy land. Sorry but can't stand arround letting you say that, the change in policy was not because Al-Qaeda it was because of the actions of the people heading the nation.

In fact, I believe it's a good message we sended. We want the truth and that's it, it's what we should have and what the people heading the nation should give.

just my 2 cents :)

I'll give you your two cents, but do you believe the terrorists don't think that they had something to do with it? Hardly. They figure they're 1 and 1, so might as well give it another shot.

Well it does depends on how they view the world, in black&white or with shades of gray (or is it grey in US English). I just say that the truth is there very plain now it depends on your own perspective of reality.

who's the one in your icon?

Perspectives of reality... oy ;)

My icon is of Phedre, the main character in the Kushiel Trilogy, which was also the inspiration for my banner :D It's a great threesome of fantasy/alt history books by Jacqueline Carey.
